About the Journal
e-journal of reservoir engineering is a peer-reviewed, open access journal published by Petroleum Journals Online.
Peer Review Process
All research and review articles in this journal are peer reviewed. Petroleum Journals Online uses online peer review to speed up the publication process. Our goal is to have your paper published within 2 to 3 months of initial submission. The time taken to reach a final decision depends on whether reviewers request revisions, and how quickly authors are able to respond.
Once accepted in principle, each article will be refereed in two ways, on the academic content by a known specialist in the relevant field (a second ''content'' referee may be called upon where the Editor deems it necessary).
Where an article is being published jointly with a print publisher, Petroleum Journals Online would expect a single mutually agreeable referee to be appointed for both. Petroleum Journals Online's own referees are not paid and should not be expected to have to comment on texts that have not been checked for spelling, lack complete references etc.
Publication Frequency
Once an article is accepted and peer reviewed, it is published in the current issue of the journal immediately in both fully browseable web form, and as a formatted PDF.
